Take control of your pain, physical health, and emotional well being. Don't let it control you!

Tai Chi and Chi Kung are the internal component of Shaolin Kung Fu. The arts were developed to help us attain enlightenment and harness the incredible energy resources that flow unknowingly through our bodies and throughout the entire universe everysecond of every day.

Tai Chi is complex and it is impossible to properly learn Tai Chi or Chi Kung from a DVD or in a one or two day workshop. The fact is, Tai Chi is an art based on the science of body mechanics that is meant to be practiced regularly throughout ones lifetime.  It is an art that should not be taken lightly, especially when choosing a teacher.

Shaolin Tai Chi Studio is owned and operated by Si-Heng T.J. Smith. He studied the art and earned his teaching credentials under the guidance of  Si-Sook Fred Christie. Si-Sook trained under Si-Gung Greg Zilb, and they have selflessly passed the art along to me so that I may teach those who want to learn the art and enjoy the physical and emotional lift that one can attain by practicing properly taught Tai Chi and Chi Kung.

Si-Heng T.J. began studying Tai Chi after trying everything from physical therapy to pain management for chronic back pain, which resulted in two major surgeries.  With the pain still present, an emotional state in limbo and out of options, he turned his sights towards Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chi Kung. It proved to be a life choice that indeed reduced his level of pain, gave him more flexibility, a positive outlook and a better quality of life.
